Working with religious trauma

As a former Mormon, I’m closely acquainted with the pain of living in, and leaving, high-demand religion. I’m familiar with the isolation, the loss, the fear, and the questioning of one’s self, sanity, and intuition. I’ve also come to know the freedom, the peace, and the deep self-acceptance that comes from both deep individuation, and deep integration with the whole of humanity and nature.

Deconstruct

Deconstructing religious dogma is difficult. Together we will work through the cognitive beliefs, the learned patterns, and the traumas that live in the body. My practice is rooted in anti-colonial, anti-patriarchy (including anti-cishet normativity), and anti-white supremacy. The trauma caused by all systems of oppression affect us in known and unknown ways. Together we will work to break these old patterns down and heal ourselves

Rebuild

Many who transition out of high demand religious environments find it challenging to integrate with the larger world and culture. Having been hurt by it before, they often struggle to connect to spirit while also missing the experience of the ineffable. Through guidance on relationships, sexuality, and earth-based spirituality, clients learn to connect with the Self and be guided by their own intuition and desire. They learn to build a life around what matters most deeply to them, without the influence or pressure of doctrine, dogma, or hierarchy.
